We're a family owned and operated bookshop & small press based in Dalton-in-Furness.
And we love books.
Although we only sell new books online, inside our shop you can find both new and used books (including rare and antiquarian).
For vivacious readers lacking space, we run a Book Exchange program. If one would like to enrol in the program their book is stamped upon purchase. All stamped books can be exchanged for a significant discount off a new book. Visit our Book Exchange page for more information.
Returning Storytelling to it's Communal Roots
Storytelling is universal, it brings communities together, keeps culture alive, and allows us to explore new ideas, perspectives and places.
But like many things, books have been commercialised, tailored and targeted to suit corporate bottom lines and investor's tastes.
Impersonal. Profit driven. Ovewhelming.
We wanted to take the art of storytelling back to it's roots. We want to share amazing stories, preserve local history, and amplify voices.
